EAWAG
EAWAG
is a Swiss-based and internationally linked aquatic research institute
committed to an ecological, economical and socially responsible management of
water – the primary source of all life. It carries out research, teaching and
consulting and forms a link between science and practical application.
EAWAG's
task as the national research centre for water pollution control is to ensure
that:

Concepts and
technologies pertaining to the use of natural waters are continuously improved.

Ecological, economical
and social water interests are brought into line.
Multidisciplinary
teams of specialists in the fields of Environmental Engineering, Natural and
Social Sciences jointly develop solutions to environmental problems. The
acquired knowledge and know-how are transmitted nationally and internationally
by publications, lectures, teaching, and consulting to the private and public
sector.

employees are active at the locations in Dübendorf (near Zurich) and
Kastanienbaum (near Lucerne). The EAWAG
was founded in 1936 as an information centre for wastewater treatment of the
ETH Zurich. The EAWAG
is a Swiss Federal Research Institute which reports to the Board of Management of the Swiss
Federal Institutes of Technology (FIT Board). Other Institutes of
the FIT Domain are: ETHZ,
EPFL, PSI, WSL, EMPA.
OCD
has provided numerous training courses to businesses, business associations and
business promotion programs. OCD trainers have developed and delivered
management training courses for corporations, for business associations, and
private sector support programs and projects.
OCD
has also provided management consulting services to a number of businesses in Vietnam. The company
has a network of experienced associate consultants with competencies in a
number of areas, such as organisational development, organisational capacity
evaluation, SME promotion, business growth management. The majority of OCD
consultants have over 10 years of experience in their area of expertise, have
international qualifications and have worked and/or studied abroad. This
international exposure, combined with extensive knowledge and insight into the
workings of local organisations and agencies, provides a valuable and unique
mixture that ensures locally relevant programmes of international standards.
The
Research Centre for Environmental Technology and Sustainable Development
(CETASD) is established on the basis of the Centre for Environmental Chemistry
(founded in 1997) according to decision No. 254/TCCB of President of the
Vietnam
National
University, Hanoi
(VNU). Its main functions are focusing on (1) environmental research, (2)
taking part in environmental training for university students; (3)
environmental services (organizing short training courses in the field of
environmental science; technology transfer, etc).
The Centre can explore resources from its 65 staff,
which includes 3 professors, 5 doctors and 14 Masters and through the
cooperation with other national and international institutions, e.g. CEETIA-Hanoi
Civil Engineering University, CEST – Hanoi University of Technology, faculty of
Chemistry, Faculty of Environment , Faculty of Geography & Faculty of
Biology (HUS); Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC); Chulabhorn Research
Institute, Bangkok (Thailand); Shimadzu company; Osaka University (Japan), etc.
